Big Menpachi (Soldierfish)

I caught these four big Menpachi early this morning. It was a long night of fishing last night. I was whipping for hours in the dark and NOTHING. It wasn't until the clock struck 2am did the bite start. Only a couple small Menpachi nothing that was a keeper.

Two more hours past and then a big bite. I landed the big Menpachi, which is the bottom one in the picture. I caught the other three soon after, and then NOTHING.

The sun started to come out, and usually this is my productive time but nothing. I fished for a bit more but I was exhausted.

I drove home and took a shower and went to sleep. I was out for ten hours, and my body is a wreck.

I am going to enjoy eating those Menpachi for dinner this week.
