Fishing Report

HI Friends,

As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, I wanted to do a separate post for the fishing report from the Colorado River trip.

My first two mornings I headed out around 5:45am and went Striped Bass fishing. I struck out on the first morning with no bites and I decided to head to a different area the second morning. I only got one bite the second morning, but it was a good one! I caught this guy on a frozen anchovy:

On the third morning, I decided to do a different type of fishing and took out a canoe and fished along the boat docks. I ended up catching 4 smallmouth bass and 1 largemouth bass and all the fish were a good size! Check them out:

Overall, not a bad fishing weekend! I released everything except the Striped Bass (not a native species to the Colorado River so catching and eating them is encouraged), which we ate for dinner:
