First thing I would recommend is get a picture in your post so it catches peoples attention in the NEW feed.
Second, use the introducemyself tag in place of firstpost.
Then I would recommend heading over to THE WELCOME PAGE to find some great tools and best practices in order to navigate the site a little better.
