Such beauty and power with conning to your ancestors and native traditions. I am so happy that so much of the American Indian tradition has survived. Christianity usually doesn’t let that happen. All that’s left of my native traditions is what was recorded by Christian priests. So glad to see you preserving your culture and sharing it with your children! Cheers!
It's hard to come through all that after what religion destroyed. There is always a way to go back to our traditions, sometimes it takes more looking. Ask the creator for help. It will take time.
That's why I find pow wows are so important. They help us go back and heal. This year is about going back home. Last year it was about healing from the destruction and for those lost and those that are sick. I make it a point to at least go to one every year.
I hope that one day you can find your journey with what you need.
