RE: SLC21/WK1: Empowering Life-Saving Skills: A Guide to First Response and Basic First Aid.
I really felt for your brother arm at that particular time. It must have really been severe and with so much of pain your brother must have been feeling at that particular time and that is why we need to learn the principles of administering first aid treatment to people. Thank God you actually know about first aid treatment as that goes a long way to help you and that at that particular time also help to calm down the severe pain your elder brother might have been feeling. I also love the concept you used of scarf to help stop or reduce the bleeding because if the bleeding continues, it will result to too much of loss of blood which might have affected your brother also at the end of the day. You did a great job with that scarf.
You analyse carefully about what to do at first if one actually witnessed a road accident. The first thing I will also do is to make sure I call 911 the emergency line so that it can help come to the scene. It is very needed. Why one will be waiting for the emergency services to arrive, then I can start moving to make sure that the victim is in good and stabilise conditions. I also love how you analyse your flowchart for the DRABC. The first thing is to pay attention to the danger and then to the response of that victim before even moving to the breathing space. You actually do justice to this topic and I must confess I was able to learn a lot beyond I can ever imagine of. Thank you for sharing this
Thanks for reading my post and for this comprehensive comment.
