City Giving Thousands in Fines Over Illegal Firework Activity

If you get caught engaging in illegal firework activity then you could face a hefty fine of thousands of dollars.
In some regions they are now starting to get more aggressive with firework activity and they are making money off of the use of illegal fireworks by issuing fines if you get caught.

In California, Sacramento City has reportedly issued an ordinance that would give authorities the power to cite property owners and renters too when there is any questionable firework activity going on.

The ordinance would also prohibit the use of fireworks between certain hours as well. This means people wouldn't be allowed to set them off during late hours in the night or early morning.

The fine could go anywhere from $1k to $5k if you get caught on multiple occasions.

When it comes to people setting off fireworks in their neighborhoods or parks etc, there is never any shortage of complaints that authorities get from neighbors.
Around the U.S. we have seen that authorities have been trying to deal with a problem they are having with the use and sale of illegal fireworks. It's a problem they have with both the sellers and the users of these products.

Increasingly we see that restrictions are being proposed for firework activity today and this includes establishing 'approved fireworks periods' where people can only set them off during certain months or hours.

The city has argued that the reason for doing this is because it falls in line with their noise ordinance and that is their reasoning for the firework restrictions during certain times.
