I have lived through several bush fires in Australia, although only at close proximity on one of those. The heat and intensity of them can be horrific. Hope you are all okay.

    All fine thanks, we are used to it. It is just that pesky thatched roof!

    Good to hear. That thatched roof would be a nightmare in those conditions.
