Schoolday On Saturday
My daughter had school today. One Saturday per year is a schoolday. That's probably because the law says that the number of schooldays per year is 190. By sacrificing one Saturday, one long weekend is gained when a national holiday, for example Mayday, happens to be on a Tuesday or a Thursday. The school was open to the parents today. My daughter's class went to Laune Family Park and the city arboretum next to it. I took some pictures. The kids had a photo assignment where they had to take three photos of a plant: a landscape where it was visible, a picture of the whole plant and a close-up. We ate in the school cafeteria after the outing (it was €6 for the parents and free of charge for the kids as always). There was one class after the meal where the photos were shown. I took some photos in the park.

I like large sets of photos on\close to the same subject -- feels like they help you get immersed.
But I have to pick out the two close-ups above the castle -- that's lichen on that rock, right? To my eternal shame I only recently found out what that intriguing lifeform is all about -- I must have been either sick or slept through that biology class in school...

Hi markku. It is good to spend these sorts of things with your kids. They grow up so quickly and being part of their education on trips like this are rare. Did you learn anything?
Actually, I didn't. Except that the teacher has knowledge of photography. :)

This isnt same in my place. However, some of the students do participate in private tutoring classes.
