If you're ever curious to check out HP Lovecraft, his collected works are available for free here. His style is a bit archaic, and unfortunately his racism shows through in places, but the lore itself is wonderful, pulpy, fantastical stuff dealing with dreams, archaeology, lost civilizations, mad science, insanity, things that go bump in the night, and monstrous cosmic entities of unimaginable power.
