An old painting of mine. It's interesting to see how I change a lot with styles and experiment with techniques. I like painting like this before but I got bored with it. Think it's too smooth for my taste. Oh well, the first years of painting... you care about being "good" with techniques and don't mind improving ideas. Now I don't care if they look realistic or some shit, I want to improve how I present my ideas. I even appreciate abstract works now and pretty sure one day I'll be doing some installations.

For sure you will!
Abstract work is the way to go. :) <3

True. And it's not easy to make. So abstraction will probably the last thing that I'm gonna do lol

But when you get the hang of it, it's gonna be the only thing you will do! :D <3

This is a superb work. I love his gentle smile while holding the gun. It's a big message that refects for on cease fire and peace.

Thank you! I do think it's quite corny though cos the concept is too obvious and direct to the point lol

My professor would advise to not sign your paintings that way. It is way too distracting from the other content. Surely, with your skills, you could have your signature more hidden, or integrated into the piece where it doesn't stand out so much. Serious, I look at the piece then, the first thing my eyes naturally do is gravitate towards the signature. It messes up the movement/composition of the piece. Otherwise, nice work! Though, when the economy collapses and you are starving to death, none of this will matter anyway. Do what I did. Give up on art. It isn't needed in this world. What is needed, is food. I would put ALL of your energy into producing food. You might regret it if you don't. Starving people won't buy/barter your artwork, no matter how good it may be. Good luck.

About the signature, yep, it surely does. This is an old piece anyway.

No. I’m not gonna do what you did. We have different paths, skills, talent. I’d rather die starving than giving up on what is literally keeping me alive. Giving up is just what a coward would say.

It isn't "giving up" when you are intelligent enough to realize that art/music, when abundant (like it is now), has NO value. It is simple economics. You will starve to death if you don't give up your shallow pursuit of money. Put your energy into growing food or you will regret it when you have shriveled up to nothing more than a pickled skeleton.

Yes, this is me showing that I care. Now, how much do you care about yourself? Your money won't buy food when the food shortages happen. Think about it. This economic collapse is very real. But, go ahead and show to me, like humans always do, why it is I shouldn't care.

Giving up and "setting things aside and prioritizing something else first" aren't the same thing. So you meant the latter, which I agree on. I earn money with my art anyway, so I have no problems with it at the moment. With food, we are abundant here in the Philippines. Food is everywhere. Thanks for the care though, appreciate it.

Also, I do still do art. I just do it in the form of creating video games now, as it also allows me to compose music. So i get to do two of my favorite things at the same time. :) The only problem, it will be a year or two before anyone will actually get to see my creation................ if we all live that long. Which we won't.
