An artificial intelligence hedge fund? [VIDEO]

Found some information about this start-up in this Medium article but I honestly still don't know what to make of it.

I will have to do some reading on it, but will probably wait for the techies to dumb it down for me.

The way I understand it this is only a concept for now, you can read the whitepaper here but at least they were somewhat original with the video. Doesn't it give you like a 90's vibe? Time will tell whether they can code as well as they can create an interest in people.
