Financial Cryptography 2017 - Conference Malta
April 3–7, 2017,
The Palace Hotel,
Malta
For those of you who missed, or didn't noticed.
2 weeks ago was the "Financial Cryptography and Data Security 2017" Conference.
This is one of the most important and valuable meetings for the upcoming digital financial revolution.
As there are not insignificant costs of entry and really professionell educated participants with very ambitious content, it's not easy at all to get barrierfree access.
But if you are interested in the latest developments and innovations of cryptographic-finance solutions and applications this is maybe very interesting and valuable for you !
So here is an introduction and a little summary of Publications !
International Financial Cryptography Association
The International Financial Cryptography Association (IFCA) was formed to advance the theory and practice of financial cryptography and related fields. IFCA's primary activity is the organization of its annual Financial Cryptography and Data Security conference, which brings together experts from around the world to foster cooperation and the exchange of ideas.

Financial Cryptography and Data Security is a major international forum for research, advanced development, education, exploration, and debate regarding information assurance, with a specific focus on commercial contexts. The conference covers all aspects of securing transactions and systems. Original works focusing on both fundamental and applied real-world deployments on all aspects surrounding commerce security are solicited. Submissions need not be exclusively concerned with cryptography. Systems security and interdisciplinary works are particularly encouraged.
Financial Cryptography ?!?
finance
wikipedia:
"Finance is a field that deals with the study of investments. It includes the dynamics of assets and liabilities over time under conditions of different degrees of uncertainty and risk. Finance can also be defined as the science of money management."
cryptography
wikipedia:
"Cryptography is the practice and study of techniques for secure communication in the presence of third parties called adversaries.(...) Modern cryptography exists at the intersection of the disciplines of mathematics, computer science, and electrical engineering. Applications of cryptography include military communications, electronic commerce, ATM cards, and computer passwords."
Cryptography meets Finance ?!...
All of you reading this, are already experiencing the beautiful possibilities of financial and cryptographic combinations.
Crypto - Currencies !
In this case Steemit.
Remember Dan Larimer (@dantheman) ? He is also a developer of cryptographic/finance solutions...!
If you like Steemit and believe in it or even think it could be based on something really disruptive, you would be overwhelmed about all the appearing innovations !
I recommend you to do your research !
The Goal of the conference is:
... to bring security and cryptography researchers and practitioners together with economists, bankers, implementers and policy-makers.
Intimate and colourful by tradition, the FC program features invited talks, academic presentations, technical demonstrations and panel discussions. In addition, several workshops will be held in conjunction with the FC conference.
