RE: In the Tall Grass (film) : An awful film by Stephen King and his son
Kings movies that are 90 minutes most of the time don't work. to do his books good you need more time. he has that first half in misstery, creepiness and character development, and second part of action.

i read quite a few of his books when i was a kid. I remember that Pet Semetary gave me nightmares; I think that was the only time a book has ever done that to me.
i was reading IT at college, mostly after midnight. there were moments when i was hesitant to get up and close the window. at 4th floor :D
that book was enormous, but then again a lot of his books were huge. I think i read half of It but then the Tim Curry mini-series was on TV and i no longer needed to finish it. I have over the years read a lot of his stuff but haven't done so in many years. I tried to get into the Gunslinger books (i think that is what they were called) but it just didn't appeal to me - the movie didn't either.
