Are My Favorite Movies Your Favorites, Too?
What are some of your favorite movies?
Every time anyone asks me that question, my mind goes blank. So recently I sat down and really thought about it. I wrote a list and cut together a video of some of my favorite moments from some of my favorite movies. You can watch it here:
One reason I went to the effort of making this video is because I am a filmmaker myself, and I want to find my audience. I think of my audience as people like me, people who love the same kind of movies and will want to watch mine because they feel a connection with the them.
These days it seems like everyone and his brother is making a movie. Everyone wants their movie to be watched, and they know there must be people out there somewhere who would want to watch it, but connecting with those people can be difficult, especially if you don't have a huge advertising budget.
So here's my question for you: are any of my favorite movies your favorite movies, too? Do the same things touch you and me, make us feel something, stay in our minds long after the movie's over?
If the answer is YES, then I want to know you. Obviously, I'm not claiming I'll ever be able to make movies as great as the ones I love, but they are my inspiration and my instructors. And YOU are the kind of people I make my movies for.

LOL, so many movies, so little time.
I have alot of movies I would list as favorites.
LotR, Hobbit, 13th Warriors, Djengo, Fiddler on the Roof, Iron Man, (pretty much all the superhero movies, some less than others), Dinner for Schmucks is hilarious.
I also enjoy some documentaries as well!

STOPThat's a nice list and varied one too. We are on the same page for the most part . Some of the films are my favorites too like Treasure of sierra madre, herzog's Rescue dawn, The third man, Django and Scarface. Need to watch Darjeeling Limited (Been in the list for long, as its a tribute to one of my favorite filmmaker too Satyajit ray) .Picked a few films like cyrano de bergerac,El cid.

Hey, that's awesome! I'm so glad you enjoy these great movies too! Yes, I LOVE Tarantino and I have seen all his movies. Django is my favorite but I like Kill Bill and Jackie Brown a lot too. I'm actually not a huge fan of violent movies, but I love his anyway because so much joy spills through in every detail--you can just feel every moment how much he loves making movies, it's like a celebration of film!
