'Fast & Furious 9' Postponed Until 2020

Originally prepared for April 19, 2019, Fast & Furious 9 is now postponed to April 10, 2020. No further information about the reason the studio delayed this action film almost a year old. But pointed out the cause is because Fast & Furious 9 to date has not had a director. There are also other allegations that the studio wants to focus on making a spin-off first, before launching Fast & Furious 9 .

For those who are looking forward to 'Fast & Furious 9', there is bad news from the Universe regarding the release schedule of the sequel to 'The Fate of the Furious'.

Speaking of spin-offs, Universal is known to develop a special film for Hobbs, the violent agent character of Dwayne Johnson 's debut at Fast Five . In addition to Johnson, reportedly Hobbs spinoff also featured Jason Statham who returned as Deckard Shaw. Although the spinoff has not yet been officially announced, the project is apparently getting opposition from fellow Fast & Furious franchise player Tyrese Gibson .

Through social media, Gibson admits he will forget his familiarity with Johnson so far, if Johnson starred in the Hobbs movie. Not long ago, Gibson then clarified that he and Johnson no problem. However, Gibson does not want Johnson to film Hobbs for now, as the release date of Fast & Furious 9 has been announced.

"We can not let loyal fans of Fast & Furious disappointed because of delayed release date," said Gibson, while reminding Johnson that The Fate of the Furious could be a huge success because it was released on schedule announced. It's still a question whether the delay of Fast & Furious 9 has anything to do with the Hobbs spin-off.

In addition, the studio also has not given certainty whether this delay will affect the production of the final series, Fast & Furious 10 , which is scheduled to aired April 2, 2021. And according to the news from THR , Johnson will not necessarily return to perform at Fast & Furious 9
