I will start, perhaps, with the most ambiguous aspect of Lara Croft, that is, with Lara Croft. More precisely, with Alicia Vikander's choice for this role. In principle, I have repeatedly spoken about this topic before, and now I do not refuse to say anything from my words: the actress is completely different from the original character, and the problem is far from her breast size. Appearance, plasticity, facial expression, movement - nothing is the same. Most of the movies appear on the screen running and jumping around as talented cosplayer, but nothing more. the dramatic material in the film, which will require the participation of Oscar holders, is hardly observed, and why it is not possible to take the lead role of Camilla Luddington, Lara Croft's former prototype for the game series, Tomb Raider since 2013 - is unclear. Yes, she is older than Alicia, but not so much, besides Camille also loves the fan community, and her participation in the movie will be a much more fun reference than copying some verbatim game scenes. On the other hand, Vikander is trying very hard, and this is seen even with the naked eye. Yes, there is a bit of dramatic material in Lara Croft, but it does exist, and the actress is fulfilling it 100%, playing much better than a decent movie in general.
Not all are unique with images and plots. The first half of "Lara Croft" - too tight a rope, which, in this case, without problems it is possible to enter 15 minutes of strength, if not less.
