To calculate the ranking of top-grossing actors, we added up the 2017 global ticket sales of major actors’ films on December 26th, 2017, using data from Box Office Mojo. We didn't count animated movies, only the actors' voices were used included actors who were top-billed or had the most screen time.
Superheroes and Jedis might appear to rule the box office, but action stars still pack a punch: Vin Diesel’s roles in a pair of blockbusters helped make him to be the highest grossing actor of 2017, his movies have sold for over $1.6 billion in ticket sales.
Fast and the Furious franchise became the second-best performer in the series, reached $1.2 billion at the global box office. And his action in xXx: The Return of Xander Cage movie boosted his tally.
Diesel got notices after Pitch Black and Boiler Room movies, that's made him being superstar "Dominic Toretto" in his first movie in what would become a multi-billion franchise, with car action in "The Fast and the Furious in 2001". Following up on that success, Diesel also scored a monster hit with the action thriller "xXx", which was followed by six more Fast and Furious films.
He has voice talents when he demonstrated The Iron Giant and then with dozens of simple but memorable utterances say “I am Groot” in sixteen languages for "the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2" movie.
Dwayne Johnson came second place with "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle" movie.
The Top three is Gal Gadot, The actress appeared in one of the best DC movies ever when it was released may 31, 2017 "Wonder Woman".
