Season 2 of "Stranger Things" is Officially in Production! Everything you need to know

This year we had a television series that was a surprising huge hit, the Netflix show “Stranger Things.” Personally I think it is quite interesting that a show about some kids in the 80’s, dealing with topics such as parallel universes, shadow government and mind control was so hugely popular. (It has a 9 out of 10 rating on IMDB) It was watched by 14 million people within the first 35 days… quite impressive for a show that was rejected 20 times.

The question everyone was asking was “will there be a season 2?” And the answer is... YES!

Not only will there be a second season but it is already being filmed… so you can relax… soon enough it will be available to the world.

So… what do we know about season 2?…

Well… we know it will be done by 2017… maybe late summer…

One thing I am particularly excited about is the fact that, this season will be a bit different in tone than the first one , that starts immediately with a hight tension scene, due to the mysterious and bizarre disappearance of the first kid. This second season will start in a much slower pace. The show runners said, the main arc of the season will be: The town trying to go back to normality after the prior events. I am sure they will keep all the nice things about the show ( Such has the cool poster and the cool music heheh) and it will be very similar, but the fact that it will start differently in tone makes me have even more faith in it.

I do see many, many shows just repeating themselves. I usually say that most shows should have ended in season 3. It seems that It will not be the case with “Stranger Things” … it can only be a good sign.

Another big question is “Will eleven be back?”… and the answer is … yes. She will in some capacity, not sure how, maybe in another dimension … but she will.

The Duffer Brothers (the show creators) will be directing at least the first two episodes.

The season will take place one year after the events of season one…(also that can be interesting)

There are a bunch of new characters, both kids and adults. And of course, Wynona Rider is back in that loving and historical role. In the new casting we can find Paul Reiser, who was in “Aliens” I mention this because the Duffers also said season two will be more inspired by movie sequels and not so much by Tv Shows. Giving James Cameron and “Aliens” as the example of how to do it… (Another good sign)

There'll be nine episodes (one more than season one) in season two - and we even know what they'll be called:
1 - Madmax
2 - The Boy Who Came Back to Life
3 - The Pumpkin Patch
4 - The Palace
5 - The Storm
6 - The Pollywog
7 - The Secret Cabin
8 - The Brain
9 - The Lost Brother

And the producer has already said that they are also thinking of season 3, so it will be done properly and not just to fulfil the contract. ( Another good sign)
