This February 23 we will have the premiere of another movie which catches a lot of attention as we have an actress that we already know and we hope that this movie is as good as the actress who plays it.
Annihilation will debut in US theaters on February 23, but with a much smaller advertising fanfare than the arrival of Arrival (February is not the best time to release a movie for the Oscars). Outside the US U.S., Canada and China, the film will not have a theatrical release at all; Its international launch will be in charge of Netflix, to which Paramount sold the rights in December. This arrangement is practically unheard of for an important study, since it openly acknowledges that Paramount does not believe that the film earns money. The move also triggered a disappointing reaction from Garland, who said he made Annihilation to be seen on the big screen; it's the kind of decision that could keep acclaimed filmmakers from working with the studio in the future.
