Warner Bros. finally officially "challenged" Disney in the affairs of family entertainment films by inaugurating their own version of the movie Jungle Book. The film, previously named Jungle Book: Origins finally has an official title, "Mowgli", In addition to the title, Warner Bros. also publishes its official synopsis. The premise is predictable and similar to the original version that tells the life story of a boy named Mowgli since being raised by a herd of wolves and then befriended a bear and a panther. He then had to face a tiger named Shere Khan. 

 “The story follows the upbringing of the human child Mowgli, raised by a wolf pack in the jungles of India. As he learns the often harsh rules of the jungle, under the tutelage of a bear named Baloo and a panther named Bagheera, Mowgli becomes accepted by the animals of the jungle as one of their own. All but one: the fearsome tiger Shere Khan. But there may be greater dangers lurking in the jungle, as Mowgli comes face to face with his human origins.” 

Callie Kloves will write this movie script that is rumoured to have a darker storyline than the original material by Rudyard Kipling. Mowgli will be filled with a series of cool talents such as Christian Bale as Bagheera, Cate Blanchett as Kaa, Benedict Cumberbatch as Shere Khan, Naomie Harris as Nisha, Andy Serkis as Baloo, Peter Mullan as Akela, Jack Reynor as Wolf, Eddie Marsan as Vihaan, Tom Hollander as Tabaqui, Freida Pinto as Messua and Matthew Rhys as Lockwood and Rohan Chand (Bad Words) as Mowgli. The film will be directed by Gravity director Alfonso Cuaron.

Mowgli will be released on October 19, 2018.
