The new series from CW, Black Lightning will debut soon next month and now the studio marketing team has just released a new retro nuanced poster featuring the superhero as its main focus.

Black Lightning is an alter ego of Jefferson Pierce and was created by Tony Isabella and Trevor Von Eeden in 1977. The series from CW in will tell about Pierce who is a "former" superhero who can absorb and control electric power. He must return from retirement to face a local gang called The One Hundred. The group is led by Tobias Whale and their presence threatens the citizens and families of Pierce.

The series stars Cress Williams as Jefferson Pierce / Black Lightning, Nafessa Williams as Anissa Pierce, China Anne McClain as Jennifer Pierce and Christine Adams as Lynn Pierce, Black Lightning is scheduled to premiere on January 16, 2018.
