A teaser for the Stargate series: Origins has just been launched by Stargate Command. From the title, it is certain that this series will be a prequel to Stargate's legendary story in the minds of movie/ serial/novel sci-fi fans, The story of this prequel has actually been long awaited by Stargate fans. Stargate: Origins will explore the story of Catherine Langford and the history of the origin around the discovery of a portal gate. Catherine will get involved with the exciting and unexpected adventure behind the portal and attempt to solve the mystery of the portal called the Stargate to save the Earth from the threat of "darkness".

Ellie Gall will lead the Stargate: Origins series to act as Catherine Langford previously played by Elizabeth Hoffman in Stargate SG-1. Connor Trinneer will play Professor Paul Langford, who discovered the "gate/portal" in 1929. In addition to Gall and Trinner, the series will be enlivened by Salome Azizi, Philip Alexander, Michelle Jubilee Gonzalez, Daniel Rashid, Sarah Navratil, Shvan Aladdin, Tonatiuh Elizarraraz, Derek Chariton, Justin Michael Terry, Lincoln Werner Hoppe and Aylam Orian. This digital series will be broadcasted on February 15, 2018, and will amount to 10 episodes.
