Mortal Kombat is a 2021 film in the epic, martial and fantasy genre, directed by Simon McCoyd. The screenplay was written by Greg Rousseau and David Callaham based on the video game series of the same name by Ed Boone and John Tobias. The film is considered a remake of the series and is a sequel to Mortal Kombat: Destruction (1997). Starring Louise Tan, Jessica McNamy, Josh Lawson, Tadanabu Asano, Macad Brooks, Lodi Lane, Chin Han, Joe Taslim and Hiroyuki Sanad.
