"Love is perfect but lovers are not"
I don't know what has gotten into me lately, why am I so engrossed with films tackling mistresses, third parties and broken famillies..
Today I picked the film from 2012 that starred Dingdong Dantes, Angelica Panganiban, Zanjoe Marudo and Angel Locsin.
This story isn't actually about mistresses and third parties, because technically Angel isn't a mistress but she's the other woman from the past.
If I had watched this film when I was 15, I probably wouldn't understand Angelica. I know my young heart would have instantly hated her character. I will be seeing her as the main witch of the story, when she's actually just a victim of their wicked fate.
Glad I waited 6 years after the film was released, I have a more open mind now. I may not experience-wise but I can finally empathize.
What I love about this movie is that this did not just tackle about how far can someone go for the one she loves but also how far and lowly can a mother be for her love for her child.
Jaq was a woman whose heart have been bruised and broken by a past mistake but continues to love and love with every piece of it. She's a soft person trying to build an image of a tough wife. I just think she's the who has been suffering the most.
Tristan, a selfless man who's willing to do everything for the love of his life, even if it means breaking his own heart.
Edward, the root of all these trouble. Cheater. All of these happened because he cheated. Maybe it's safe to say he deserve it?
Grace, the loving mother.. No words.
how can something so right seem wrong? and how can something so wrong seem right?
Love is perfect but lovers are not.. a unique love story of selflessness and sacrifice.
My heart was really crushed for the four of them, they had no choice! They were talking about a boy's life, their and their partner's son's life.
Funny how I was able to get so many values in this film.. Family, Friendship, Love, Commitment, Faithfulness
