We will dig on the onset of the Katipunan and emphasize this sovereignty that is a particular entity separated from La Liga Filipina. The Katipunan is not just an ordinary movement but rather, it is a government.

By claiming of those who grow int he country as the "sons of the nation," they laid down their basis on establishing a sovereignty: a power that will bound, seize, and prevail in the "Katagalugan" of the country and to all the Tagalog and ethnolinguistic group or the "sons of the nation." As "sons of the nation," they are the true owner of the country and because of this, they were the ones who has the right to govern the whole country:

"We are the true owner and growers in these land which were oppressed and seized... return to use the whole government of the country" (AGMM 1892-1897, Caja 5677, leg.1.37.20). In this point, they separate their newly establish government from the prevailing colony as an autonomous government because they are never wanted to be invaded and governed by people from other lands.

In relation to this, they established the Katipunan as the only sovereignty in the country that will hold all the power in it: It is declared that these islands will separate, and from this day on, it will not recognize and acknowledge leader but the Katipunan only. The Katipunan will stand from this day forward and will take over the great power in this whole island (AGMM 1892-1897, Caja 5677, leg.1.37.25-26).

In this event, the political and societal influence will be transferred from the hands of the takers to the nation through Katipunan. This is clear to the awareness of Bonifacio and to the Katipunan because the basis that "the establishment of this honorable government, is the power of the nation" (AGMM 1892-1897, Caja 5677, leg.1.36.2-3).

To this effect, this power is contingent and came from the "sons of the nation" and will be implemented according to decision of all or the nation: "The power is in the guild of the brotherhood and decided that decisions will from all" (AGMM 1892-1897, Caja 5677, leg.1.36.3). In the view of the Katipunero, theirs no doubt on that the nation claimed the political and societal influence in righteousness, and the Katipunan will not acknowledge any higher authority. Therefore, the Katipunan from the start were outlined and formed as a single government for the universal nation.
