Too much obsession of youth in technology and instant information that's given by the internet, seldom you see students who will go to the library and open up history books. Yes, most of the youths read but it's a romance novels and everything that is not related to knowledge in history. We must revive the culture of reading history books. And not just only reading but knowledge and action. If we know what we must do and the correct action but we didn't do it, we still don't have a good benefit.
Let us see our history in every different angle so that we will realize the much bigger picture of our nation. Read how it was being outlined and how the foreign reading about our lives (outsiders vision) so that we will be ready to correct their wrong thinking. But it is more important that we will know who we are and how we understood ourselves (external and internal perspective).
If we knew who we are, we will not be deceived because we know the truth. We won't accept those wrong characteristics that is being force to us to swallow because we knew it is not us. Let us used our own language so that it will have more better understanding of the concept which came from our daily living. If we used foreign language, there's so many things that we can't comprehend.

There language were formed as a result of their experiences which are likely not related to our history. A very good step to used those vernacular or local languages to teach elementary students in subjects like Math and Science. It's easier for them to learn because it's closed to their experienced the language that they used.
There's one old popular saying: "Old people die, young people forget." And also once Rizal said who does not look back from where he came from will never arrive to his destination. History does not repeat itself. It is men who never learned from the past who repeat history. If will made the same mistakes, it is not a mistake anymore. We choose to make mistakes. I love this post @juvyjabian. It is so true, people forget things when they stop reading. Kids are rarely even taught about History now, and that is sad. Reading helps keep the brain working. Even trying to pronounce words that are not familiar is great exercise. It is even rare, I think, to hear people still read to their little children. Hope others read your post and pass it on.
Technology is good but its usage should be moderated.
