What makes you "you" is not your appearance, or may not even be your DNA, but your memory. Without memory, you stop being "you" but someone else. No matter good or bad, your memory is the foundation and definition of "you".

i lost my memory, and can only agree. to lose your memory is to lose the idea of your identity but on the other hand you still have a feeling of what your soul is like, and that is also you, even if you don't have memory.
@safforuler Sorry to hear that, hope my post didn't offend you and others. It must be tough in your position and I don't think anyone without the experience could imagine how it's like. But I wish and believe you will still live a fruitful, wonderful and happy life!
