50 word Story Contest Week #19 : Deathmark

“Mom, what’s this red mark?”
That spot on skin bewildered Clark.
Mom lovingly explained the mark,
“My son! That’s a birthmark”.

A chick overheard it in that park.
Asked her mother, “Where’s my birthmark?”
Mother was shocked that kid’s still in dark.
She cried, “Chickens are only born with a deathmark”.
