haha...a glimpse into the year 2525? It's funny how some things prompt memories long forgotten. I hadn't thought of, or heard of that song for decades.
If you had said I'll give you a million dollars if you can name who first sang it 'In the Year 2525' I would've definitely been able to recite some of the lines and hum a few bars but I'd be completely out of luck on the name.
It's Zager and Evans by the way...1969. I'll forego dropping a YT link but they have a pretty cool one using the prophetic cult classic Metropolis for background.
I had really meant to say @karencarrens that I keep intending to enter these 50 word story challenges but I never manage to time it right.
Thanks for this, oh...btw, I read the contest rules on your resteem and I checked twice. The word of the week only needs to be used the second hashtag, which you've done.
Not likely something that would disqualify your entry to have it in the story but it may be considered a distraction. Just thought I'd point that out seeing as I can't just send you a quick private message. Hope you don't mind.

That is good to know! I should have read it more carefully. I copied someone else. I saw a submission that hashtagged the word go and thought it was cool. Hadn't done that in any of my posts yet so partly, I was experimenting with the hashtag. 😬
I see @karencarrens. Now that you mention it I notice that using a any hashtag(s) in the body of the post and those that are used in hashtag line does not count as individual hashtags.
I had experimented with them in a few posts and found that we have a limit of five hashtags total in the post body. Now I realize by looking more closely at yours that it is restrictive to not more than five different tags. The algo will prevent you from posting till this is corrected.

Not sure what you mean. I haven't ever used a hashtag in the body except this one time so far. What does it mean? Does it mean we can add them? And, where to the hashtags show up? Is there a report? What's the purpose of them?

There is no report I'm aware of, just restrictions to the algo.
Hashtags, as I understand them are a way of categorizing your posts to help you get them to the audience you wish to reach.
It is also my understanding that using the hashtags steemit and steem, if your work not directly related to those things, is frowned upon.
