Hello, this is my entry into @literature-trail "50 Word Story Contest - Week #22"

I saw this contest through a submission post by @rachelburger . Fifty words go by very fast, so this is challenging!

"SHOT"

Sharp stab and a punch to my chest, then the boom. Is this real? I slam the pavement, can't breath or move my right side. My leg is jerking wildly. There's blood in my eyes. I taste it in my mouth, seeping back down my throat. He steps closer. WHY??
