This is my first try in the 50 Word Story Contest. I learnt about this contest via Discord.

"So, Son, which University are you applying for?"

I chew slowly and gulp. "I don't want to apply for any. University was your dream, not mine"

"What!?" exclaimed Dad.

Leaving the plate half empty, Dad left.

Mom squeezed my hand, saying "He'll come back around. I promise. Don't lose hope."
