Fixing the Wing - Fifty Words Story
Beads of sweat collected on his back like billiard balls.
Their mission was successful - they had found the extraterrestrial cure for cancer.
Then disaster struck.
With limited tools, grit and determination, he repaired the wing. There was now a chance they might make it back alive.
Thousands would be saved.
That was my attempt to tell a story in just 50 words with the prompt of "Wing"

Oh, nice! So much story compacted to show that tipping point that rides on anxiety. Had my anxiety shooting. What if something else happens after? So much can go wrong. Space is a dangerous place. Rooting for this character to succeed in his mission.
