Politics in Nigeria

in #fiftyword7 years ago

The government of Goodluck Ebele Jonathan was highly bereted by Nigerians and mostly members of the opposition party. Amongst the reasons the the government received people's backlash were poor economic situation, insecurity in the Northeast, alarming corruption rate, and mass unemployment. Majority of Nigerians agreed that change in people, administrative style, and party could save the Nigerian situation. So, Nigerians worked toward it. Amidst the shortcomings of the previous administration, power supply was manageable, 12 new Federal universities were established, inflation rate was at a single digit.
Today, we have achieved our desire. Two years after, shame, pride, and regret would not allow us to be objective over our true situation. One thing we have learnt as Nigerians is that, "uneasy lies the head that wears the crown".
