RE: A Day in the Clouds (Chapter 21) - The Hours Between 0100 and 0200 (Part 2 of 2)

in #fiction8 years ago

Ahh the confused looks and explaining I had to do when I noticed more feed items and reloaded the page and exclaimed out loud (because I was in the middle of talking to myself anyway) YAY MORE DAY IN THE CLOUDS XD well the kids are used to me having extended conversations with myself, my inlaws are still getting used to it XD

Ledd must be hella confused if he's failing to remember his older sister's name XD And it's really cool how confusing it is for everyone (both Ledd and the reader) whether Ledd has just experienced a prophetic dream or has been sent back in time by the unexpectedly powerful fown or if the prison time was an incredibly realistic dream. The entire chapter is like one giant cliffhanger, just as you think you're going to get some answers MORE QUESTIONS and then we have to sit around waiting impatiently for the next round XD How did you even manage to make the entire chapter a cliffhanger seriously usually it's like the last paragraph, that's some mad writing skills right there XP

Not that I haven't liked any of the preceding chapters but I really like this one in particular for that overarching feeling of sheer confusion while still managing to keep everything comprehensible. Did that make any sense? XD

What the!! I knew I replied to this! I don't know where it went! :O Man, I'm not sure how this got lost in everything, this has got to be one of the top comments that the story as a whole has received!!

I guess you know more about it by now, but yeah haha is it a memory, a dream or was the whole prison in fact the dream, hallucination or prophetic vision? Who knows? Do I even know? Wait, I already did that bit haha!

You have to admit, fowns are quite powerful. They have the power to make people forget their surroundings, but also have the ability to communicate long distances. It's such a strange device whose origins have been lost in time.

Shoot... I keep trying to remember what I replied before, but it's turning out less impassioned than the original. I'm sorry about that, my friend :( I remember commenting about what you said regarding a giant cliffhanger. Yes, I did see what you did there :D I took special care in crafting a cliffhanger of a chapter, so I'm glad that someone noticed that. Ever so perceptive, you!

If I were to rank all the chapters, this has got to be my 2nd favorite. But, in terms of experimentation, I have to admit this is battling for the top spot. Thank you for commenting on this, definitely one of the top comments for the entire series like I mentioned earlier. I apologize if it seemed like I totally ignored it!!

No wuckers, might have been in a tab that you closed accidentally or something, or maybe it got answered and something's glitched in the back end (unlikely I know but anything is possible) and we didn't notice because our conversations tend to span completely different threads XD

It was an awesome chapter :)

Couldn't have been. I remember hitting the submit button on it. If it was just an accidentally closed tab, it should've still been in the drafts. I think I got the gist of it though. I wouldn't have noticed that if I didn't check the evenness of the comments on my posts hahaha!

Oh how curious o_O

I find it amusing that you check the even-ness of your post comments, guess that's one way to make sure you've answered everyone XD You do have extended conversations with other people right, I'm not the only one that destroys the neatness with inane rambling? :D

Oh no no no. The beauty of my comments section lies in the fact that all comments feel like posts unto itself. I feel so honored to know people who converse like crazy haha! I wouldn't have it any other way :D
