Had more than enough of Yu-Gi-Oh here, for whatever reason the kids have been binging that and Dragonball Z and the exposition is killing me x_x
Let them infodump and smile and nod, it's all you can do.
I did (briefly) play some Magic and I absorbed some Yugioh by osmosis through my spawn watching the anime... and I'm fairly certain that Pokemon was once also a card game and maybe still is...
Humans like us some complicated things. I honestly stopped at D&D. I can handle D&D... but ask me about my Bugbear Cleric or Tiefling Monk and I could go on for HOURS.
Pokemon is me >_> though I don't do a lot of that anymore these days, no time XD
