Brothers Feud

The Mango tree watched. She watched as Layiwola drove the knife through his brothers chest. She overheard him tell his brother just before he stabbed him that he did not deserve to be with the beautiful Amope. She watched as Layiwola's brother fell to the ground like an Iroko tree, sawed down. She watched life slowly ebb out of his brothers body. She watched Layiwola wipe the blood from the knife on the dead mans chest.
She heard him say "I will see how you will marry her now."

She watched him kick his lifeless body and walk away. But in her woody heart, she knew, karma awaited him.
