Hillary closed the box of money and kept it in the back seat and locked the car, he double checked to make sure it was locked, then entered the building, Ikenna’s office was on the second floor of the building and it was sandwiched between a cyber café and a Pharmacy.

He entered the Office, seated at the corner of the waiting room was Rosaline, Ikenna’s secretary.

Good Morning Sir

Morning Rosaline, How are you doing?

Fine Sir.

I am here to see your boss, is he in.

No sir, you just missed him by some few minutes, he got news this morning that his father had an accident with his motor bike, so he had to leave for the village immediately, he also told me to tell you that, he won’t be able to fulfill his promise to you, till he knows the state of things at home.

Okay, Rosaline I have to go now, have a nice day.

Bye Sir, have a nice day too.

Hillary stepped out of the office feeling dejected, all his hope were crushed, he entered his taxi and sat with his head on the steering wheel, he looked back to the box of money that was left by his last passenger.

His wife was in the hospital, and every day brought her more increased pain, after sitting in the car for twenty minutes he made his decision. He started his car and drove out of the building.

He drove to Zik’s Avenue and stopped in front of the building where he dropped the Man, It was a blue one Storey building with two huge pillars in the front. The gate was huge and imposing, he rang the bell and moments later, the gateman opened the gate.

Good Morning Sir, Please who are you looking for?

I dropped a Man here earlier, he forgot a box in my taxi and I have come to return It.

Okay, it was Oga Fidelis, he just left in search of you with my boss.

While they were speaking, a silver Mercedes Benz stopped in front of the gate, and two men alighted from it, the First Man looked familiar, while the second was the Man who owned the box.

He looked obviously relieved and he just stood there staring at Hilary with disbelief, it was obvious he had given up all hope of recovering the box. The second Man came closer and that was when he recognised him, It was Solomon, his classmate from the University.

Hilary is that you?

Jesus, Solomon, What are you doing in Enugu?

I moved here One year ago.

Fidelis still overwhelmed approached Hillary.

You forgot this in my taxi earlier, you have to be very careful next time, as the contents of the box was very valuable.

Thank you Hillary for returning the box, we have been searching for you for the past hour, we have even given up all hope, Come inside the house we have a lot of talking to so, said Solomon.

The gateman opened the gate and Solomon drove In, Hillary locked his taxi and went into the building.

The inside of the building was huge and paved with interlocking blocks, and there was an outhouse designed with a thatched roof.

Hillary followed Solomon inside the house, they sat in the huge sitting room, the full blast of the Air conditioner made him forget the huge heat outside.

So what can I get you, beer or what do you prefer, Solomon asked?

It is too early for a beer, just get me water.

Solomon went into the kitchen and came back moments later with a bottle of Chilled Eva water and a glass tumbler.
