PENNY WISE, POUND FOOLISH

Ah, how could I have been so foolish, Adora thought to herself as she had the epiphany of what might just be the most foolish act she has ever done.

Ah, she exclaimed. No, no, no, I thought I was smart, how did I get played? For all this to make any sense, let me tell you about the costly mistake Adora realized she made, in this very moment as she is seated, high on marijuana and about to begin her episodes of self hating and shaming.

Friday, was a very sunny day, Adora advised herself to stay indoors. The sun was scorching and she really had no errands to run, except to paint her toe nails later, they looked really horrible. So she stayed home, avoiding the problems that seems to lurk outside, she picked up a novel and read.

She went at it for a while, the book was good and soon the boredom she felt earlier was gone. Few thoughts ran through her head, she needed money, she needed a scholarship, she needed a knight in money coated armor to come to her rescue. She went about her reading.

Evening came and she decided it was time to go out and get her nails done. Off she went dressed in jean and a polo. Mama, she called to her mum, I am going to the junction, I want to get my nails done. When she got to the nail saloon there was a man getting a mani/pedi. He must be really neat she thought and then the man opened his mouth and said he is getting his nail cleaned cos he hasn't worn a sandal in over five years. She paid him no mind but he seemed to take a liken to her, little did she know. Thank you for the clarification, as if he read my mind, she thought.

When he was done, it was adora's turn, the man in question Eze, walked up to her and said, you are pretty I would like to buy you lunch when you are done with your nails, she agreed and they exchanged numbers. He told her to meet him up at a popular joint around called Helena.

Eze had a limp, barely noticeable, but he walks funny if you pay close attention.

Well, it's just lunch and mama told her to be polite, mama said a woman has a timeline and mama said she is old enough to be married. Oh mama.
She finished her nails and called Eze and they met up at Helena, but she was surprised when he asked her to come up to room 130, she thought, it was supposed to be lunch what has a room got to do with it?? But she went either way, she was already her she thought.

He opened the door after one knock and she enter.
Good evening Eze, he smirked at her and replied and went on to tell her how beautiful he thought she was and how he wants to take care of her, provide her with money, how he took an instant liken to her and how his spirit accepted her. Basically he enticed her with all the things she has been wishing for and she fall. She became the prey that took herself to the slaughter house and slaughtered she was, he rammed and rammed into her and in her mind she thought I had meet the beast but he was pleasuring her so well, she didn't seem to mind.

Sex, one of the devils favorite tool for destruction, lol. When they were done she was satisfied and he asked if she liked it, she replied with a deep purr and he smile. By this time her mother was calling on the phone, she needed to return home, she stood up to get dressed and he said they should take a picture, she paid it no mind but tried to hide her face from completely showing but he refused saying he likes her and he wants to see them later and his phone is finger print so no one has access to his phone. He asked her to kiss him and he recorded. She was so gullible in that moment because she trusted a man that she wasn't supposed to. He then told her when she was dressed that he is married with four kids. Her head was spinning and she remembered all about the forgotten lunch. She wanted to be out of there.

Eze requested for her account number to send her some money later, which he never did and as she sits here high and thinking, she realized she handed that guy blackmail evidence to be used against her whenever he sees fit, and for what, empty promises? For goodness sakes she is still as broke as she was before she slept with him and he has pictures.

She hated herself in this very moment, she hated that she was beguiled by money and material things, she hated that she wasn't any different from the lot of girls out there who take pride in dating married men, in making videos in hotel rooms where they just got fucked. It was a fast spreading epidemic and she seemed to be catching it too. She felt ashamed, at least she still felt shame, most people has lost all sense of decency. Adora thought to herself, I don't want to be that girl.
