Good to see you back with freewriting, Raj, and what great writing! Xylophone ribs. You're a poet even in fiction. The photos! I love the way you also credit the photography at pixabay - I tried doing that for a short time and gave it up. I maybe copying your method (you nail it!).
Your fiction is always first rate. And raw, gripping, compelling. I want to believe the mother is merely unconscious in the end but won't even ask (she's dead! I know it; she's dead!).
I may never again see cigarette butt in city streets without this scene coming to mind. You do paint vivid pictures.
I'm in panic mode, thinking I saw your post went from $9.63 to $9.61 after I hit the upvote button. I is that even possible? I hope not....

Thanks for your feedback which is always genuine and meaningful. The woman isn't meant to be dead at the end, just shaken by the experience.
I wasn't sure if i accurately gave the impression that the girl had caused the criminal and homeless guy to switch bodies? I hoped that at the end where I describe the criminal experiencing the unfamiliar feelings of heroin withdrawal might have done the trick. I'm curious if it came across effectively?
As to the crediting... the method I use is to use the html code

Ha ha, don't panic... It won't have been your vote that did that. Rather when you voted the blockchain recalculated the pending payout value of my post according to the current steem token price. So basically, the price has gone down a little between when you cast your vote and the person who voted before you.
I understand it may seem disconcerting to watch it happen... but it's likely enough that the token price may rise again before the 7 day payout hits.
lol it's almost like we need a college degree to understand how steem functions 😉
