Finger Food Friday
Yeah!!!
It’s Finger Food Friday in MissaJ’s kitchen.
Today my reggaemuffins and Royal Steemians i bring to you Patty! Yes- Patty. Not the singer , the food. It looks like this
It takes a little time but it can be quite simple in terms of ingredients used.
Dry ingredients
2 cups of flour (or more depending on how many you want to make)
1 tsp curry or turmeric powder
Shortening 1/2 cup
Method
Mix dry ingredients and add one cup of cold water
Add your shortening and roll into a dough
Wrap with Plastic or put in a ziplock bag and test it in the refrigerator
- Add a little oil to a frying pan - make hot
Add minced meat or veggies
Add chopped onion and garlic , grated carrot
Stir vigorously and add spices
Add a little ketchup if you like , add to get the taste your after
Finally add bread crumbs to remove excess water
Let it cool
Take out that dough
Get your rolling pin - cut the dough in half
Roll out the dough and cut out circles using whatever works well
Roll out those circles
Add the filling and seal with a fork
You can brush them with an egg for a nice sheen
Bake for roughly 40 minutes at about 280 degrees ( some ppl prefer to fry it)
Take from the tray - serve hot , warm or cold with your favorite drink
Good for lunch or dinner and you can make them smaller for parties
