RE: Grandpa Gotta Cook—Salad Buffet
Well, she can tell you the stories and you can post them. Probably won't have any pictures, though. :)
I'd say there's probably a fair amount of people on Steemit on a Saturday night, those who don't have somewhere else to be or something better to do.
I don't know if the new system is strangling growth or not. I know the reward pool is the highest it's ever been and my upvotes are worth more than they have been with the low prices, so that's something. I don't know of anyone yet that has quit. At least I haven't spoken to anyone since the fork who said they were going to and then stopped. Most of the folks I've known did it well before the fork.
Well, if God is directing all of this, then she will definitely make the contacts she's supposed to make. I would also imagine that there's going to be plenty of personal growth going on, since that seems to be what God primarily cares about. So, not sure what kind of personal/spiritual growth you or your wife may need, but watch out—you're going to find out. :)
sir Glen! ha! yes probably alot of growth in areas that we don't want to grow in is my guess! But whatever it is it will be highly rewarding. Yeah I'll have to ask her if I can post things about what's going on with the job but I don't think she'll want that.
Quite a few of the people that I talk to are pretty much shut down as far as commenting so my numbers are way down because of it, as far as number of comments, well that and it takes me hours to do a post! lol.
Well, barring someone doing something extraordinary, you can lose 10,000 points and no one will notice. The number of comments is more the byproduct of unique comments and second level replies and what it takes to accumulate those. But yeah, it is helpful if there's someone on the other end who can comment back.
Of course it's not where you want to grow. That's His specialty, at least in my experience. He's the ultimate at getting you out of your comfort zone, whether it really makes sense to you or not.
But, it's always for the best. And since you're already anticipating it, you'll be sure to recognize it when it does happen.
yes sir you are so right about this God move and I'm thankful to have someone to talk about it with who understands it.
And yes we'll recognize it because we are like almost frothing at the mouth with excitement and anticipation because for 3 years we've been looking for direction on what to do.
My wife has tried so many different jobs and none of them have worked out which had never happened to her in her entire life. we tried to start online projects to, in marketing and everything fell flat and nothing has worked except steemit and now this, at least it appears at this point that the jailer position is the right direction.
So when this felt like it was God's plan we started getting excited and now with more confirmations it's even better.
It's like when we got into real estate. One day she just had a great desire to become a Realtor so she went for it out of the blue and people thought she was crazy because she wanted to do REO's for the banks which was like the lowest form of real estate there was and people would say "are you nuts? no one wants to do that nasty stuff!"
Then as soon as she got into that niche the market crashed and suddenly EVERYONE wanted to do REO's! lol. And we had miracle after miracle connections made and we never spent a single dime on advertising. which should have been impossible.
But my point is that she feels the same way about this job as she did with the real estate and we know that she wouldn't have thought about doing this job on her own! no way. lol.
I'd say having the same feelings is a good sign things are headed in the direction they're meant to. The first time around would be setting up this time around, so the promptings of the Spirit could be recognized. God if nothing else is consistent and great at lining up the dominoes. Of course, He's the ultimate at everything, but the point is, He's been waiting to bless you with this for a while it sounds like.
Or there's some other lesson to be learned. We act on faith and what we feel is the direction He's sending us in and then we find out what we're supposed to learn sometime later, especially if things don't work out as planned.
It's been my experience, though, when I know it's not an idea I would come up with on my own, let alone consider, that it's nearly always Him and not me or some other influence. That said, I can't think of a time where I've ever been directed to do something as scary sounding as this. :)
Of course, Mrs. J just might be the reason why people shape up around her. She may be what everyone needs there. Who knows. I'm just speculating at this point.
