Haritalika teej is an auspicious occasion that strengthen the bonding among married couples. Vibrant colors of bangles, threads, sarees and garlands adds beauty to this day. The day is marked as a symbol of devotion of Goddess Parbati for Lord Shiva. Nepalese Hindu women keep fasting for longevity and good health of their husbands. The festival is a three day event.
