Hello everyone from the Maldives. Hope everyone is doing well. Today is a special day in my place which is Eid day.

After a month of fasting, one of the most important Muslim festivals is Eid. We celebrate Eid by wearing new dresses, exchanging greetings, visiting friends and family, preparing special foods and a variety of other activities that vary according to cultural and geographical background. Eid conveys the meaning of joy. As a result, today is a joyous occasion for all Muslims who is celebrating it.
I recall the previous Eid. Pandemic has only recently begun to manifest its worst-case scenario. So I couldn't go anywhere, and I believe the rest of the world couldn't either, because it was completely shut down. However, in my area of the Maldives, cases have begun to rise again this year. Many people are infected, and as healthcare workers, we have a lot on our shoulders.Literally, this Eid is also different, and after working 18 hours straight the day before, it's a very exhausting and stressful day. This is my first Eid spent completely alone, with no idea what lies ahead in the coming days. However, dealing with an increasing number of covid-19 positive cases, panic among the public, and overburdened healthcare facilities is becoming increasingly difficult. In short, it is no longer a happy, vibrant, and beautiful day, as it used to be on some days in the past.

But tried to make my happy day as much happier possible and made most of it.
Hope everyone is safe and having a good day as well.

So, let me know when your Eid is and how you plan to celebrate it in the comments. Thank you for reading the post.
