Petition - Dr. Laurie Betito: Cut ties with Pornhub *immediately*

We demand that Dr. Laurie Betito sever her relationship with Pornhub as that site's in-house sex therapist in light of revelations that Pornhub has knowingly hosted (and thus profited from) videos depicting the rape of sex trafficking victims and others. By way of her paid employment with the Montreal-based Pornhub, Dr. Betito is presumably also deriving a direct financial benefit from said videos if her Pornhub paycheque is funded by the site's porn videos. Furthermore, regardless of the direct revenue source of her paycheque, her association with Pornhub lends a false veneer of respectability to that website's practices and is thus aiding and abetting the distribution of rape videos featuring minors and adult women alike--as evidence, look no further than the 2018 CBC Radio piece about Dr. Betito's Pornhub involvement, "PornHub is teaching sex ed and that's a good thing".

Should Dr. Betito choose not to sever her relationship with Pornhub, then we further demand that CJAD 800 AM and its parent company, Bell Media, which also employs her as an on-air personality (and thus contributes to the false veneer of respectability provided by Dr. Betito to Pornhub), immediately terminate their employment and/or business relationship with her. In the meantime, we ask CJAD 800 AM and Bell Media to encourage Dr. Betito in the strongest language possible to immediately sever herself from Pornhub.

Should none of the above demands be met, we will consider all of the above parties to be complicit in the distribution of videos of rape and child exploitation, and will be encouraged by the silence of those named above to publicly deem all of them to be indirectly promoting and facilitating the distribution said materials.
