I have trust issues. once someone loses my trust I struggle to let them back in. fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me...
I understand the way you feel, @beautifulbullies. But it isn't your problem. Once someone lies the trust will be broken and it is really hard to fix it.

Nice write up but i do not completly agree with you on this issue. When trust is broken, apology becomes irrelevant regardless of what one does to rebuild the trust.
Its just like a broken glass. No matter how one tries to fix it, the scares still remains. This is not to put aside making up for wrongs done however, regardless of what one does, the hurt cannot be completely healed. Trust is total not half way.
The following steps may help for a while but they cannot restore the friendship/relationship back to its original form.

Trust IS really important, to be sure... but where does trust come from? You have to start with honesty and being authentic... trust is usually broken as a result of lies, deception and manipulation.
However, the steps to rebuild, once it has been broken... make sense.
