I would agree copying art is in bad form and constitutes bad art @hiddenblade.

For me bad art is art where the artist hasn't devoted sufficient time to hone their craft. Even with someone like Pollock if we look into his methods and ideas it is not something haphazard or amateurish though it might not be in line with our tastes.
