Thank you Melinda. I was rather captivated when I first spotted a Nankeen Night heron. I agree with you.......they are beautiful. Many thanks for you visit and support.
We have black-crowned night herons here, although they are not commonly seen. They are stocky like your night heron. More common here is the much larger great blue heron.
