Violent scene of nature :)
It was a violent moment of action. He got up off the water so quickly. Flew crazy fast down the narrow, overgrown creek bed. Then did a hard splash down landing only 20 feet or so down stream. Looked like a power boost in a video game
Haha. Duck is in a hurry to ge out of Dodge.
I have a photo of his feet doing the running on water thing but it was blurry :(
Hello 🙂
@steven-patrick
Fantastic photo of Hooded Merganser getting out Dodge. I wonder the urgency is all about 🤔.
They are truly so beautiful.

Photographers too close ha ha
It's the weekend, I got places to go! Excellent take-off shot! Looks like the same mergansers we have here. Thanks for posting in Feathered Friday! Voted and resteemed :-)
Thanks @keithboone. There was a pair. The hen dove to get away. The drake took off.
Great shot
thanks @farm-mom
Moving on out! Great capture!
He was so quick. Surprised me how fast he moved.
They can make the water explode when they are together in a flock. It is startling!
Nice, I like this one !
thanks @rentmoney
That bird is beautiful! Confess, you spooked him! :P
yeah but it was an accident ;)
Howdy sir steven-patrick! must be a redneck cowboy Hooded Merganser, getting the heck out of Dodge! lol.
