Feathered Friday - Swans
Hello, lovely steemians!
As we go through the not so amazing experience of polar vortex here in Canada, I have no desire to spend any time outside than strictly necessary and good weekend means the weekend when I don't have to leave the house. Therefore, I didn't go for a Wednesday walk, or my usual Saturday stroll, or even grocery shopping unless it is on my way between home and work. So, you would say, there's really nothing to write home (or to steemians) about.
Luckily, there is a beautiful feathered Friday challenge going around here, which gave me motivation to sort my old photographs and share them with you. For this week, I chose the photographs of swans that I took wherever and whenever me and swans happened to be at the same time. My photos are not much detailed and polished, because I don't have professional equipment, just my cellphone, but I hope that looking at them will bring you a bit of joy anyway.
I took this picture of a beautiful winter wonderland in early April 2016 in Toronto. Usually, winters in Toronto are quite long and even tough, we get periods of warmer weather in February and March, beginning of April usually comes with new bouts of snow.
This lonely fellow was swimming along the Embarkment in London, close to the Tower Bridge in summer 2017.
Last fall, during my walk in High Park, in Toronto, I saw this swan ruffling their feathers, while their friends were swimming in the pond, looking for food.
Last picture in this collection is the most recent one. I took it in December in Reykjavik. It was early morning way out of the daylight timeframe (which is from around 11am to 3pm), so the picture is blurry with swans floating like white ghosts with the lights of Reykjavik behind them.
Thanks to the wonderful @KeithBoone for hosting this challenge! There is still time to join, if you have some feathered pictures you would like to share with us.
Have a nice weekend, steemians!

Wow, this is High Park? I haven't been there for years... Toronto used to be my home town. You have some excellent shots here. My favourites are number 1, 3 and 4. Thank you for posting in Feathered Friday, it's awesome to see your photos. Greetings from Victoria, BC where the cherry blossoms have started... hope your winter ends soon! Voted and resteemed :-)
Thank you! It's at the beginning of High park from Bloor street :)
I miss Toronto - but not while you're in the deep-freeze!
Beautiful swan photos! I love that they were taken all around the world!
Thank you!
