Featheredfriday
Hello Steemians
Thanks to @keithboone for @featheredfriday
The black- capped chickadee is the most trusting,
or friendly bird you will ever meet.
Often seen at feeders, they will take a seed, and rarely
eat at the feeder, but will hide it in a crevasse of a tree.
They can remember, literally thousands of.....
different hiding places.
Found throughout mid North America, from East....
coast to West coast.
Beautiful photos! I'm starting to hear them talking out there again! I forget how silent everyone is in winter!
Thanks, they are usually the first bird I hear and see when I take a walk, so many of them here, this time of year.
They are probably the most common bird in my yard all year round they really are such sweet and gentle birds.
Beautiful little bird, great photos! I wondered why I never see any of these, and then I checked your map... they don't like the island? Seriously? I don't believe that, there must be some around. Thanks for posting in Feathered Friday. Voted & resteemed :-)
I took another look...and yes, in fact the entire West coast they avoid the islands....however they are found in NFL and PEI....mmmm
So the map is accurate? I wonder why they avoid the islands...
It’s from Cornell labs, they are reputable... that was my question, they are islands in the East... I would guess food availability, rain forest type climate, not enough seeds... just guessing..
Prob a few around, just rare...

Very interesting, thank you! I only ask because I often see inaccurate maps of the BC coast, for example showing Haida Gwaii as part of Alaska, or even leaving Vancouver Island completely off the map!
Nice to put the map in the blog gotta remember that one
Thanks, a picture is worth a thousand words..lol
Yes and i love this challange
Howdy sir karbon! wow those are such great shots of that little guy! well done sir.
Thank you @janton, they are the easiest bird to photograph, I have a ton of pics of them..lol
Howdy again sir karbon! oh well that makes it nice, both that they're easy to photograph and that you have a ton of them...that's what I need a big archive of pictures to draw on!
If it belongs to the tit family... it's cool for sure! ;) Great photos!
It is so cute little bird. Nice photography
What a beautiful bird and awesome photography. They are much better than squirrels when it comes to remembering their hiding places. : )
Thank you! ...Haha....yes that is very true...
